We all secretly love those cheesy dates that we see in the movies. Some people may like those adrenaline-pumping, leave-you-scared-to-your-stomach dates. Others might like the peaceful and romantic dates that make you feel like a cheesy couple you would see in an Instagram post. Whatever it is that interests you and your significant other, here is a list of some of the best dates for any couple.

1. A Sporting Event

One of the best dates that I have ever been on was to a hockey game. Yes, its not always the most inexpensive of dates, but it is something you will remember. There are so many other sports you can go to. Basketball, baseball, lacrosse, etc, are all date ideas. Find out each other's interests and go from there. It’s important to do things together. Things that get you out of the house and allow you to step out of your comfort zone and enjoy the festivities are great, while cheering for your favorite team.

2. Ice Cream Shop

If you are anything like me, you always have a sweet tooth now and then. There is nothing better than enjoying some ice cream on a warm sunny day, or ever in the dead of winter. If you are in the Minnesota area, I recommend trying Nelson’s ice cream. They have so many flavors and not to mention, it’s incredibly affordable! Perfect for a date night when you are out and about walking or a post-dinner treat.

3. The Lake or the Beach

Being that I come from the Land of 10,000 lakes, this is no surprise to show up on this list. The beach can provide a soothing environment (depending on the time of day). Let’s be real, everyone talks about the cheesy line “I enjoy long walks on the beach.” So why not try it? This one-on-one time can be great for any relationship. At the beach you can also enjoy catching some rays, playing in the water, and hitting around a volleyball, all of which create a fun environment for you and your significant other.

4. An Amusement Park

There is something to be said about the adrenaline rush that occurs at any amusement park. If your significant other is an adrenaline junkie, this is a must go on date. It creates a light and entertaining environment.

5. A Concert

Although this isn’t the perfect date to get to know someone, it can show some of the common interests you two may have, or the differences. Concerts are something that most people enjoy, it’s a great time and it’s something to talk about after!

6. The Zoo

What is better than letting your inner kid show at the zoo?

7. The Candy Store

Sweet tooth. Enough said.

8. Christmas Light Tour

This is a must-see. If you are someone who loves the holidays or are dating someone who loves the holidays, this is my best recommendation. There is something about the holiday season that brings the romance to light.

9. A Coffee Shop

The perfect time to get to someone is while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Coffee shops have a peaceful vibe, allowing you to focus on the person in front of you.

10. A Picnic

We all secretly want that cheesy picnic date that we see in nearly every romantic movie known to man. Not only does this date get you out of the house, but it’s also very affordable.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
