It's about to be the anniversary of going on about 4 years line dancing with Mishnock Barn. Every time I go I'm reminded why I fell in love with going in the first place. The amount of dancing we do is crazy and some might think we're odd, but they enjoy watching and they try to dance along with us. For me, being a beginner didn't really last very long, mostly because I can't dance slow anymore (when they teach it).

The amount of dances I know continues to grow every time I go. With all the different events and places they go they are always bringing back at least one new dance for us to learn. Knowing which dance I actually know is hard, I usually wait until the song plays or until the dance actually starts. Dancing with my friends is my absolute favorite part, each and everyone of them have become family to me just like Mishnock has become my second home.

Although it was very hard for me to do, here are my favorite dances with the song(s) I like to dance them to…

1. "Footloose"

"Footloose" by Blake Shelton

2. "Mean"

Originally danced to "Mean" by Taylor Swift, but I love dancing it to "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran.

3. "Central Standard Time"

Song's name, "11:59 (Central Standard Time)" by The Railers.

4. "Bring Down The House"

Song, "Bring Down the House" by Dean Brody

5. "Kerosene"

I enjoy dancing it to "Undress Rehearsal" by Timeflies as well as "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars.

6. "Wagon Wheel"

I love dancing it to "Backwood Bump" by Waterloo Revival. But it also goes to the song "Wagon Wheel" by Darius Rucker.

7. "Booze Cruise"

Song, "The Booze Cruise" by Blackjack Billy.

8. "We Are Tonight"

"Born to Love You" by LANCO. Or "We Are Tonight" by Billy Currington

9. "Moves Like Jagger"

"Going Out Like That" by Reba McEntire.

10. "Jozzie's Funk"

Song, "Bacco Perbacco" by Zucchero.

11. "One Foot"

Song, "One Foot" by Walk the Moon.

12. "Blood Sweat and Beer"

14. "Road Less Traveled"

15. " Dancin' Around It"

I love it to the song, "Sugar.Honey.Ice.Tea" by Charlie WIlson.

16. "Country Walkin"

"Fake ID" by Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson. As well as, "Came Here For Love" by Sigala, Ella Eyre.

17. "Dan's County Line"

"Meant to Be" by Florida Georgia LIne with Bebe Rexha.

18. "Vacation"

"Vacation" by Thomas Rhett, as well as, "Handclap" by Fix and the tantrums.

19. "Dem Jeans"

"Dem Jeans" by Chingy.

20. "U A Freak"

"U A Freak" by Chingy.

21. "Ghost Train"

22. "Mishnock Slide"

I love dancing it to, "Soldier" by High Valley and "Close to You" by Ryan Lafferty.

23. " Lonely Drum"

"Lonely Drum" by Aaron Goodvin.

24. "Jordin's Step"

"One Step At A Time" by Jordin Sparks

And I know that my list will continue to grow as I learn more. If you haven't tried line dancing, search local places near you! It's fun and easy and a great way to stay in shape! If you want to learn any of the dances here check out this website and search the dance names for the step sheets!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
