Dancing season spans from the months of August to May.

Some dance teams are around all year and some start before August and end later than May but usually August to May is prime time for dancers. If you are on a dance team you know there is no greater truth than these 11 statements.

So in honor of dancing season being upon us, here are 11 truths you cannot deny!

1. The anticipation of dance season drives you nuts.

You know once august rolls around things are about to get real in the dance world. The anticipation of dance season is a high anxiety time. You know you have to get prepared for auditions and meeting new dance members but you still cannot wait for dance to start up again!

2. The first handful of practices are kind of awkward as new dance mates get to know each other.

So, in hopes of alleviating this awkwardness, we decide to break the ice playing weird dance games. Once the ice has been broken, there is no going back. You are your dance mates are doomed to become the weirdest of friends.

3. Learning new choreography is the highlight of your day.

You have practiced the choreography you already know so much that you are starting to get sick of it. You get beyond excited when you find out its time to learn new choreography. Choreo practices are the best practices.

4. You walk around listening to your dance mix like it's your job but you secretly can not stand the mix.

After the number of times you have listened to this mix, its no secret you start to dislike it. Yet, for some reason, you cannot stop listening and it is almost impossible not to dance along.

5. You find parts of your body sore that you did not think could get sore.

You try to slap a smile on your face as different parts of your body become more sore than you even thought was possible. The first few weeks to months of dance while you are getting conditioned again hurt like hell and your body feels like it might just give out on you.

6. You are so sore that you look absolutely ridiculous trying to do anything.

You find innovative ways to look as normal and graceful as possible trying to sit in stairs or go down stairs, or simply just walk. More often than not, you still end up looking absolutely ridiculous.

7. You are always hungry and try to control your diet because it is not good for dancer's body.

After dancing so many hours, you find yourself really hungry a lot. You try to avoid the temptation and you know your coach/captains will not be happy about you splurging on the unhealthiest of the unhealthy meals but you cannot help yourself. After all the hours, you deserve a little cheat!

8. Sometimes you start doing your dance routine while you are just walking.

You just can't help it when your favorite part of the mix hits, wherever you are, your body can't help but bust out in your favorite move. People tend to look at you funny but hey, who cares!? Dance and walk it out!

9. Your friends and family are used to hearing, "Sorry, I can't, I have dance practice."

Seems like plans with friends and family and dance practices always clash. You try to work around things but anyone who is anyone in your life knows that most of the time you will not make it or will have to bail.

10. You spend more time dancing than you do anything else.

No matter what time it is, it is always time for dance. Dance becomes everything and all that you do for a while and you absolutely love it and would not change a thing!

11. Your dance team is your family.

With the amount of time you all spend together, it is no doubt that you are not just dance mates, but you have become a weirdly, dysfunctional family that always has each other's back!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo
