Daily Struggles That Come With Being Awkward
Hello Giggles

Everyone has their awkward moments, but if we're being honest, some of us simply lead painfully awkward lives. Here are some of the daily struggles that come hand in hand with being naturally awkward...

1. Conversations with new people

"Errr... so... the weather... it's nice... today..." while it's pouring down rain.

2. Constantly putting your foot in your mouth

* Talking to new person about how much you hate a certain TV show only to find out it's their favorite show*

3. Trying to dance at a party

I say "trying" because you end up either looking like Napoleon Dynamite or your grandma.

4. Talking on the phone

Awkward pauses are the absolute worst.

5. Buying movie tickets

Ticket salesperson: "Enjoy your movie!"

Me: "You too!" *cringe*

6. Walking into places late

*Don't draw attention to yourself, don't draw attention to yourself, don't-* *Runs into something and makes a loud crash.*

7. Wearing heels

Just don't.

8. Trying to be sexy

Giggling tends to ruin even the most seductive of moves.

9. Watching an inappropriate movie with mixed company

Word to the wise, making a wildly inappropriate comment to break the awkward tension during a sex scene usually makes everything worse.

10. Getting randomly called on in class

Even if you were totally paying attention, the awkwardly drawn out answer makes it look like you were just guessing.

While being awkward can feel like the end of the world, it's easy to use it in your favor. Although some people might turn their noses up at you when you trip up a flight of stairs on the way to class, other people (cooler people) will love your "adorkable" vibe. So the next time you wave back at someone who was actually waving to the person behind you, just remember to own it.
