Anyone with curly hair knows the love/hate relationship with their curls. Whether you've always loved your curls or it's taken you years to learn to deal with, you will definitely be able to relate to these curly hair struggles.

1. Water fixes everything

Frizz, bed-head, just a rough hair day? Hop in the shower and your hair is revived and brought back to life.

2. The amount of product you use in a day is unreal

You go through conditioner like none other, and the amount of products that your curls soak up on the daily is more than the average person probably uses in a week.

3. Your are unrecognizable with straight hair

Need to avoid the paparazzi, or maybe just don't want to talk to someone? Straighten your hair! Seriously, no one will recognize you because everyone always associates you with your curls; they'll be very thrown off by the new look.

4. You don't own a brush

Brushes are a no-go. Unless you are going for that mad-scientist look, put it away!

5. Humidity is NOT your friend

The humidity may make you reminisce of balmy, summer days, but it will make your hair crazy. It is to be avoided at all costs!

6. When someone says your hair looks better straight

Um, thanks, I guess? This definitely comes off as an insult if you normally wear your hair curly. It almost feels like a personal attack at who you are at your core. If you don't like my curls, then you don't like me!

7. You've grown to love your curls

In middle school, you may have killed your curls every day, but with time, you've learned how to style your curly hair. Now it's your favorite feature!

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
