" 'But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.' (Matthew 6:6)"

I wake up every single morning, brew some coffee, and then immediately fall into God's Word right away. I first started making this a priority in my day a few months ago, and it has since drastically changed my life and viewpoint on the Bible tremendously.

I grew up in church my whole life and heard over and over again how important it was to dive into scripture. Maybe I was lazy or did not see the importance, but this has been my first time reading the entire Bible. My heart is constantly being filled with His spirit, love, and faithfulness. My desire grows every single day, because God is working miracles in my life every time I open the sword of the spirit.

What is quiet time? Well, God has called each of His children to spend some time each and every day soaking in His Word. " 'Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him' (New International Version, Psalm 62:1)." This verse is one of many in the Bible that talks about getting away from the craziness of the world and resting in His Word. As believers, we should be taking even ten minutes out of our day to spend learning about and praising our Savior. It is the least we can do for the one who created us and blessed us with everything that we hold close.

I am currently doing a study that tells me what to read each day through an app. I use my Bible and a journal, and write or annotate anything that speaks to me. Being a visual learner, I sketch a lot and use many different fonts and styles of hand-writing to make it more exciting and insightful. I also find my pen racing across the paper and not having enough room to write everything that speaks to me. It is truly beautiful that I never end a study without something new on my heart. I have noticed big changes in the way I speak to people, in my actions, and in my thoughts.

Each person is different. Maybe you would rather go on prayer walks as your quiet time, or just simply worship Jesus before bed. No matter what way you choose to spend with Him, make sure that you open the Bible. I promise and guarantee that reading His word often will change your life. I promise you that God will truly open your heart and mind to ideas and callings that you have never experienced before. It is so powerful to see yourself change into the person God is calling you to be. So spend a few moments every single day with your Heavenly Father who truly wants you to seek Him.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
