It has come to the point where I cannot not go a day without taking a nap at least once a day even if it's for 20 minutes. Naps are like a reboot for your brain. They can either work in your favor or work against you.
My naps are approximately 3 hours long which is pretty long if you ask anyone. These long naps are never helpful because you usually wake up groggy or more tired than when you went to bed. Power Naps are the key to having the benefit of a nap.
There are so many people who ask my how I have the time to take a nap daily and I tell them, I don't but I prioritize my nap because it helps me more than you would think.
Now here is the reason you're reading this, "Why should you take daily naps?"
1. Brings back your alertness and prevents "burning out"
A nap can bring back your sensory perception like what you are processing in your brain. Everything will make more sense and easier when you are more alert. Everyone always says keep working hard and don't stop the hustle, but as a human being we all need rest. Give your body and your mind a break.
2. You become more productive
After a nap, you are more awake and ready to work. Your concentration levels go up so you ca focus more on your task.
4. Naps are better than caffeine
Yes, caffeine does give you energy but does it give you better memory and help you be more productive?
5. Good for your heart?
You might be asking yourself, "How is a nap helping my heart?" Well doctors have said that people who napped for about 45 - 60 minutes a day have lowered their blood pressure. Wanna have a healthy heart, take a nap!
6. Reduces stress levels
Naps are known to reduce stress after naps because your brain and body are resting. When you are napping, you are not worrying about life's problems. Whatever it may be, a nap can probably do the trick.
7. Overall a good time to take a break
After a long day taking a nice nap in your bed or your couch feels so good. It is nice to know that you have a little bit of time to close your eyes and rest.
I used to feel so guilty because I thought I was wasting time but I learned how wrong I was. Many successful people such as Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, and Thomas Edison all took daily naps so if you don't believe me, here is another reason for why you should daily nap.
