I am always curious and fascinated by the world of horoscopes, tarot cards, and zodiac theory. I am a Pisces-Aries cusp, born on March 20th, 1998 and I wanted to test how this application worked. Generally, I like to be open-minded about predictive services like these, and I wanted to share my results with you.

1. Monday, April 23rd

“Is a certain problem yours to resolve alone? Much depends on whether you see it only as a problem. Although you likely have an issue to find a solution for, it could be easy to mistake an opportunity for a problem now. What you’re tackling is a helpful stepping stone to something you want to be more in control of. Try to see a current issue in that light. Overcoming it will soon put you in a position you’ll be glad to be in.”

Today I was resolving an issue with one of my classes. One of my professors hasn’t been responding to numerous emails and attempts on my behalf to contact him about important matters that pertain to my grade. The withdraw/pass-fail deadline just passed on Friday, and I am currently trying to tackle this problem. This problem isn’t going to be solved on my own since I am leaning onto the campus disabilities center to relay my issues and figure out the best possible solution. This could be both a mistake and an opportunity. I think that the mistake would be making a hasty decision without thinking and withdrawing from the class prematurely would hinder my academic progress. The opportunity here is weighing my options to figure out what the best course of action could be, which is taking an “Incomplete,” which is contingent on my professor contacting me. I am trying my best to maintain my composure about this matter and drawing from positive sources of energy to go about this matter in the best possible mindset. Overall, this horoscope seems helpful and pertains to a real situation going on in my life.

2. Tuesday, April 24th

“It would be helpful to consider why something is always done in a particular way. Perhaps, that’s how it has always been done, a good reason existed in the past for it to be done that way and you’ve had no reason to change it. That might be changing now. Be willing to replace what has been done traditionally and possibly with little imagination applied with a more creative approach. You’re superbly placed to instigate this overdue change.”

I think that this horoscope is talking about syllabi, and how one of my professors doesn’t allow the course to be amended for me to take at home and submit assignments via email because of a disability claim I’m trying to file for. My professor emailed me that if I submit the 2 final assignments then he is going to guarantee me a passing grade. I have done everything in my power this semester to do well, and succeed, and I’ve experienced nothing but setbacks and challenges that impeded and hindered my success. I guess what they’re saying is that my divine purpose was to defy the limits of the syllabus and let the professor see what kind of a student I am, and the work ethic that I put forth.

3. Wednesday, April 25th

I got the exact same message as I got the previous day, which tells me that there’s probably not that much legitimacy or research put into this, or my astrological sign hasn’t made any significant changes since yesterday.

4. Thursday April 26th

“Come on, we must keep moving. We hear such words said in films where characters are weary, disoriented or unsure about the direction they’re supposed to be heading towards. We feel uneasy when we aren’t moving. We feel uneasy when we’re heading off in a direction that feels right but offers no tangible reason to feel reassured. In an area of your world, doing nothing isn’t an option. Applying any action will lead to you feeling you’re right to invest a bit more.”

What I think this horoscope is speaking to, is my decision to transfer universities. Today I went into my advising office, picking out my classes, and picking up my ID card. Actively seeking out these resources and completing these tasks made me feel like my decision to apply, is now leading me to a direction that I should stick with my acceptance and proceed with the transferring process. Ever since I applied, I was unsure and doubtful of my decision, but after going to the campus several times, making some friends, and making my schedule, I am much more optimistic about my admission decision.

5. Friday, April 27th

“We’re often discouraged from taking paths of least resistance because doing so is seen as copping out or taking easy options. However, there are times where sticking with what we know is the best option, and now is such a time for you. Even if you feel a need to put your unique spin on a task or refuse to stick with what’s been done traditionally, the benefits to playing it safe outweigh the potential disbenefits. Be willing to better any devils you know rather than try to be clever or innovative now.”

I think what this horoscope is talking about is also talking about my transfer. The easy and traditional way would be to remain at my current university. I’m putting a spin on my traditional education by transferring to another state institution and giving it a chance. I want to see where my education can take me and transferring seems like the most logical thing that I can think of doing.

Those are my results from this week for Daily Horoscope 2018, I hope that gave you a glimpse of what this mobile application has to offer. These are not backed by any type of research or credible source, but are for entertainment purposes only, so feel free to explore other options.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation is notorious for her "I don't care" attitude. She speaks her mind without caring what anyone thinks of her.
