Sometimes life can be tough. Here are ten songs that keep me going that I hope will help you get back into your groove.

1. Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac

This song gets me so hyped up. It's optimistic and makes you realize that the past is the past and the future is yours.

2. You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet - Bachman Turner Overdrive

I love walking to class with this song blasting because it makes me feel like I can do anything. Look out world, "you ain't seen nothing yet."

3. The Middle - Jimmy Eat World

Like "Don't Stop", this song has an optimistic message. Things take time and everything will be alright in the end. It's also a classic that always brings me up when I'm down.

4. I Wanna Get Better - Bleachers

I love Bleachers. This song wakes me up. It's upbeat tone and message of bettering yourself makes you feel happier.

5. Long Time - Boston

My favorite lyric from this song is, "Well, I'm takin' my time, I'm just movin' on. You'll forget about me after I've been gone." It's entirely true. I'm taking my time with what I'm doing. In 15 years no one will even remember if you failed or goofed up. Movin' On.

6. Just What I Needed - The Cars

This song is just what you needed. It's upbeat and enjoyable to listen to.

7. Good Day - The Click Five

I always think of teen movies with this song. When the camera zones in on the kids of the high school all doing their thing. This song makes you feel like you're in a music video and reminds you that "you're gonna have a good day."

8. Really Don't Care - Demi Lovato

I turn this song on when something not so great happens. In the end, it's in the past and I really don't care. I can't change anything so I might as well sing a pop song.

9. The Warrior - Patty Smyth

This power ballad reminds you that you can do anything. You're a warrior. Start believing it.

10. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

I like to end my motivation playlist with this song from one of my favorite bands. This song literally makes me feel like I can do anything. It also reminds everyone that they can't stop me. I'll do whatever I have my heart set on.

Whatever is going on in your life, just remember that everything happens for a reason and everything will work out in the end. Sometimes you just need a little pick me up to get you through the day. Hope you enjoy! If you have any other suggestions for motivating songs, feel free to comment!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
