Thanks, Dad
Caroline Jordan

Dear Dad,

Thank you for everything you do; the things you do don't go unnoticed and I truly appreciate having you for a dad. Thank you for checking my tire pressure, leaving cash in my wallet and making me breakfast when I'm home. Growing up, you pitched softballs to me for endless hours in the backyard to help improve my skills. You helped me with my homework and glued my projects together. You put up with me when I begged for a motor scooter, a turtle, or any other silly thing that I wanted. You even built me my very own tree house. You always seemed to make all my wishes come true.

Thank you for teaching me how to parallel park, even though it was insanely frustrating. Thank you for buying me a brand new car, and paying for college. Thank you for supporting me in everything I do and being there for me whether it be in the bleachers, or at the DMV bailing me out of a speeding ticket. Thank you for letting me follow my dreams and not forcing me into anything. I'm extremely lucky to have you for a dad.

Thank you for always being there and being a great dad. You've taught me the importance of hard work and how to be an overall good person. You have done so much for me, and I couldn't thank you enough. I love you, and I wouldn't be anywhere without you!

Love,

Caroline

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.
