Dear Dad,
Let me start off by telling you that I am very blessed to have a dad like you.
You were the first man that I fell in love with. You’ve been the best cheer dad there is out there, biggest motivator, and have always given me unconditional love.
You taught me little things like how to ride my bike, to throw and catch a baseball, how I could have fun when the power goes out, how to clean, and to drive.
But you’ve also taught me things that I’m not sure you even notice you’ve taught me. Things like to always give my 110% percent on everything I do, to be a hard worker, how to deal with money, and that sacrifice’s come with growing up.
Throughout the years I’ve also learned that I get a lot of things from you. The way our fingers are the same, our math skills, how we sit the same, and our love for anything Disney.
When I was little I always scared of you because of how strict you were. Not that I wasn’t scared of mom but you seemed to be the stricter parent, so I thought. But now that I’ve grown up and I’ve noticed that you are the funniest person I have met. As well as a loveable guy. You love mom and your kids so much and it shows, which I admire.
Because you have weird hours working I love anytime that I get to spend with you. Whether it’s watching baseball, UFC, Friends, or the Dis. Or if its spending five hours in a car taking me back to college. Anytime I get with you I cherish.
I feel very blessed to have a father like you. You have been there for me through every step of the way. You’ve taught me that it’s okay to make mistakes because it’s a learning lesson. You’ve always told me to dream big and not to settle. You working all the time has showed me to be a hard worker and a great work ethic. As well as given your family everything we wanted and needed. I know working overtime and missing out on Diana’s, JJ’s or mine events isn’t easy but I know that you do it all for us.
You are the best father a girl could ask for. There is no other man like you. I love you.
Love,
Your Daughter
