Daddy's little girl means a lot to many girls in today's world. Some do not get that luxury like most and look for it in other things, like reliving childhood as a teen or even adult and/or finding their father figure within different types of relationships. Sometimes in relationships, calling someone "Daddy" is not in a joking manner. It is not incestual either. It is a mental comfort for many. (This is all from personal experiences.)

1. You see your significant other as a parenteral figure.

They are always there for you. They are there to comfort you or give you a nice hug or even prepare you for a hard task. People with these types of issues cling to these types of people because they never had that as a child from one parent or another. It is hard to understand the psychology behind it but one thing I do know is that a person's childhood impacts a lot of the person's actions of later in life. This is one of those moments.

2. You look up to the one adult figure who helped you.

Giphy

That one adult figure could be anyone you are really close to. It could be your art teacher that makes sure you are on task or the assistant principal or maybe a family member you became very close with. Sometimes they are registered to feel the void of the missing part.

3. You have age regressions.

Giphy

Sometimes, people have certain things that have them resort to their childhood. This could be a certain phrase, blanket, stuffed animal, or place. They forget about the world and get to live the childhood that they wanted. It is different with each person (like most things within this topic).

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life.
