Current Life Happenings: June 2017

I little over a month before I go back to Michigan

Current Life Happenings: June 2017

I couldn't think of any topics to write about this week so I figured that a life update was the way to go since it is halfway through the month of June. There haven't been any drastic changes since the last update but I'm fine with that because large changes are hard to adjust to quickly.

I have been having issues with my digestion system since high school and a few weeks ago I decided that I should go to my doctor to make sure that there was nothing serious going on that I needed to worry about. I have been placed on a diet called the FOBMAP diet. It isn't a diet to lose weight, it is made to help figure out what foods are causing my body issues and takes problem foods out of my diet. So far, I believe that it has helped me but I am still having occasional issues with digesting foods which hopefully isn't a serious problem.

I have been given the opportunity to practice with a semi-professional team in my area to make sure that I am getting touches on the soccer ball over the summer in a practice environment. Recently I had an issue with being dizzy during this but I believe that I was dehydrated and that along with the temperature in the upper 90s those few days were the cause.

I am still waiting to hear about internships or co-ops for during the school year and it is getting a little frustrating. I have contacted multiple firms, contacted professors, and even used the schools job resources and have yet to get a response to any of my contact attempts. I am hoping that I will get some contact back within the next month to help relieve the stress I am feeling trying to find an internship that is required for me to graduate.

On a more positive note, I feel that my lungs are finally beginning to recover from my bad case of pneumonia I had for a month towards the end of the spring semester. I was told by doctors it could take months for my lungs to regain the strength that they had before I got sick but I am happy that I am finally seeing improvement.

Another exciting thing is that my boyfriend and I will have an over 100 day streak on Snapchat! It always makes me happy when I get his goofy snapchats with filters on his face and when I get to send him back even more silly snapchats of me with weird filters along with strange faces.

That is it for this month's update since there wasn't much going on with me besides health issues. Hopefully next month I will have some more answers about my digestive issues and more improvement to the strength of my lungs for when I'm playing soccer. I'm also hoping for some news about and internship for during the school year.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
