With all the bad news, terrorist attacks and political arguments circulating through the media I think the world could use a little good news. So heres some current events to help restore your faith in humanity.

1. Guy Takes His Terminally Ill Dog On The Trip Of A Lifetime.

When Robert Kuglers best friend, a chocolate lab named Bella, was diagnosed with cancer he was faced with a heart breaking decision. He could have her put down or have her leg amputated buying her 3-6 more months. He decided to amputate her leg and take her on the trip of a life time with those precious few months. The dynamic duo have been traveling the world inspiring others to do the same. Bella has now lived 8 months longer than her doctors predicted, proving that a little love and adventure is the best medicine.

2. Officers Respond To Couple Who Refused To Sit By Them

On Friday July 8th, the day after five officers were shot and killed in Dallas, officer Chuck Thomas and three colleagues decided to enjoy a meal at an Eat'n Park near Pittsburgh. A couple was about to be seated next to the officers but made it very clear they did not want to be seated across from the police. So instead of making a scene or being mad Thomas responded with grace by picking up the couples tab and adding a ten dollar tip. "I wanted to break the tension and say, we're human, too," he said. "And we want to be treated as such. We're not all bad guys. We're here for the public. We're here for you. We're public servants, bottom line." Thomas told TODAY.

3. Five-Year-Old Boy Takes His "Best Friend In The World" On An Adorable First Date

Five-year-old Freddie Gibson asked his parents what a date was and once the details had been explained he decided to ask his best friend Dee Dee on a first date. Freddie sent Dee Dee a letter asking her to go on a date with him once she turned five (because four is simply to young) and saved up his birthday money to pay for their meal. When the day came for their first date Freddie got Dee Dee a bouquet of flowers and the young couple went to their favorite restaurant, Pizza Express. The staff at the restaurant even threw in a desert decorated with hearts. Guys could learn a thing or two from Freddie and his chivalry.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
