Sometimes when you’re watching a movie, you automatically know the plot and how the story is going to end. We seek to find the light at the end of the tunnel without going through the process first. Sometimes, we hope that we could see our future and where we will be in 10, 20, 30 years from now.The funny thing is, we weren’t made to see into our future.God didn’t design us that way.
If we could see what we were going to do in the future, I believe that there would be several things that we would change before they even happened. We wouldn’t be content with the way our lives are going to be in the future, so we would try to change the course of our lives so to avoid making a mistake or doing something we don’t seem to understand.
However, the Lord calls us to follow His will for us.You may not seem to understand why the Lord has called you to be a minister or why He has called you to do a certain job, but He knows what is best for each and every one of us. Regardless of what we think, He knows what we are suited for. I am going to let you in on a little secret: God created us and designed us for a specific purpose. His knowledge of what we’re capable of is so much greater than ours.
Knowing that is comforting because my God takes care of me and provides for my needs no matter the circumstances.Yes, I may go through trials, but God uses those trials to shape and mold me.
There have been many instances where I have wanted God to reveal to me an outcome of a certain situation, but God revealed to me the path in which He wanted me to go instead. Prayer is about seeking the Lord’s guidance and asking for His provisional oversight.Prayer is not about asking God for things that you want or asking for something to turn out the way you want it to turn out.
It’s really a mind-blowing concept to know that the Lord knows exactly what I will do and when I will do it. There is nothing that I do that He doesn’t already know about. God is not surprised when I sin, but He is waiting there for me with open arms so that He can comfort me when I mess up.
So many people want to see their life at a glance so that they can see into their future mistakes. They want to prevent those mistakes from happening so that they can be a more perfect and more satisfied individual, but would you really want to see into your future? Would you want to know the countless times that you sin on a daily basis? Would you want to know what illnesses you may suffer from? Would you want to know if you succeeded to all you wanted to be? Would you want to know when you will die? And from what? Those are all things that we would be able to see if we were able to know our future selves.
I am more than thankful that the Lord made me into the human I am today. I am not perfect by any means, and I am perfectly happy with my imperfect self. We have all been blessed with a gift like none other. We have been given the free gift of salvation. Through the blood of Jesus, you are no longer bound by the chains of sin, and we are granted forgiveness, grace, and peace through our Lord.
Seeing crystal clear isn’t all that it sounds to be. Yes, it would be a great thing to know if we will ever graduate from college, but that’s why we rely on the Lord to carry us through it. With crystal clear vision, we would rely more on ourselves than our Creator. The Lord knows everything, and He knows everyone’s story. It’s a great thing to know that the Lord can hold my whole life in His hands. I am dependent on God, and He is ruler over all. That statement will always be true.
