7 Go-To Gifts For The Special Girl In Your Life

It's that time of year again, boys! That's right, if you have that girlfriend or wife that is indecisive about what she is wanting for the holidays, or wants everything and you don't even know where to start, this is the perfect holiday list for you!

Not all men know what their girl wants, and it's difficult to shop for us because most of us are picky and want something specific or just don't know at all. This list will include all types of gift ideas for your girl this holiday season!

1) Makeup

Most if not all girls love makeup. There are so many different brands to choose from. It's a dent in the wallet, but your girl will be happy with a new eyeshadow palette or a beautiful glow kit. Wherever you go to find these products, make sure you ask the employees questions. They will know what is trending, and something that will interest your girl!

2) Bath & Body Products

Girls love to kick it in their bath tubs, and relax after a long day. There are so many different ways to achieve this relaxation setting. You can do it with a set of bath bombs, some facial masks/ sheets, bubble bath soaps, lotions, etc. Pretty much if you find it at a Lush store, or a Bath and Body Works store, you are already half-way there. Be aware of your girl's favorite scents, and nonchalantly ask her in a conversation.

3) Clothes and Accessories

This can be a hit or miss because usually girls prefer to just go out on their own and shop since they know what sizes they need and what not. You have plenty of options; shirts, pants, sweaters, socks, scarves, hats, and a ton more! If you know what size she is, sure, go for it! There are return policies for a reason after all. (Also lingerie, and anything from Victoria's Secret is included in this category.)

4) Shoes

Girls love shoes! But again, another hit or miss. You can pay attention to her existing shoe collection to get an idea about color, style, and size. Or you can go out on a limb and actually ask her what she would like.

5) Purse/Wallet

Girls love their purses! We carry everything in them, and I mean everything! Ask her friend about possible purse ideas. Just know a good purse you're looking to drop $80+. Wallets can be just as expensive.

6) Jewelry

You have plenty of options for jewelry; necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and many more pieces of jewelry. This kind of gift will probably make any girl happy. Depending on the duration of the relationship, be aware that us girls will get overly excited if you pull out a ring to us on Christmas day.

7) Something from the Heart

If you're comfortable with working with some craft glue, and puff-paint, this could be a possible option to show your girl your sweet-side this holiday season. You can make her something from the heart that is special only to her. It could be a cute picture frame with a picture of you and her inserted, or it can be a picture. You decide.

Remember that the holidays are not only about gifts. But your girl will probably be pretty upset with you if she wakes up to find nothing from you under the tree. So if you are still really stuck, or maybe just don't want to walk around a mall and search for stuff, gift cards exist for a reason!

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
