Crisis Text Line is a hotline that serves many purposes, ranging from suicide to managing a breakup. The desire of the service is to bring all of those who text in from a hot moment to a cool calm by the end of the conversation. All Crisis Counselors do not judge and do not limit people to what they can or cannot text about. Everyone also only communicates via text message or online messaging, there is no worry about talking to people, all you have to do is text. If you feel like you would want to be a Crisis Counselor, apply here. If you want to talk to a Crisis Counselor then text HOME to 741741, it's a 24-hour service and there is no charge for anyone.

If you decide to apply, it should take about a week to hear back about your application. A background check will happen and then hopefully you can start training. Training is six weeks long and you'll be assigned a trainer to help guide you during role plays. At some point, training can feel like a drag and you may find a lack of motivation to finish it. However, when you attend your first observation, it'll hit you how amazing this organization is. I attended my observation and realized for maybe the millionth time, that there are people out there who are texting in. There are people who work to listen and support those texting and that was who I was aspiring to be a part of.

I completed my training and became a part of this organization. My first shift was full of supportive messages and people like me all chatting in a group or privately. In between helping those who needed, we were there to support each other. If we didn't know how to respond to a texter, we could put it in chat. There's also a chat about random things and everyone can get to know each other. The newbies are guided and the supervisors never hesitate to check in and make sure a conversation is going well. I absolutely enjoyed my shift and I look forward to many others. I look forward to connecting with as many people as I can.

I'll see you on the platform, whether you're a counselor or a texter.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
