As of late-August, when clowns started tormenting a town in South Carolina, there have been hundreds of reports of "Creepy Clowns" across the United States. This is a real-life nightmare. These clowns have been reportedly trying to lure children into the woods, and chasing people around with various weapons. One has even allegedly assaulted a woman on her back porch. They've caused schools to close for days, and the White House has even mentioned this phenomenon in their briefing. These clowns have even taken to social media sites, making threats online.

Around college campus's including Kent State University, The University of Connecticut, The University of Miami, and Penn State University are among the schools that have reported seeing these "creepy clowns" on campus. In a true college fashion, different schools have students actually chasing these clowns around campus, posting videos on Twitter and Instagram.

This is NOT funny! Clowns across the nation have the police running rampant around their towns, being pulled away from keeping their communities safe. It has led to more than 12 arrests in the United States, under charges from making false reports and threats to chasing people. These hoaxes are inducing panic everywhere, for everyone. There are real things in this world to be afraid of. There is also a lot more things the people of the United States need to be concerned with. In a little over the month, we elect the newest leader of the free-world. Today, there was suspected terror attack in Belgium. The Nobel Peace prize was awarded, and the Tulsa police shooting has raised race riots. The last thing we need are people dressing up as clowns, causing concerns for people across the United States.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
