Kiel James Patrick

It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I am a huge fan of Kiel James Patrick. If you haven’t heard of him, Kiel James Patrick, and his wife Sarah Vickers, run the Kiel James Patrick Brand which is a growing brand inspired by classic New England style. Their factory is based in Rhode Island which provides nautical inspiration for their wide array of nautical rope and anchor bracelets. This growing brand, which has recently expanded from mainly bracelets to hats, boat shoes, and apparel, is focused on providing quality, American-made goods that have a timeless style. Perhaps one of the most fascinating aspects of the brand is the use of mainly social media to promote their products. Both Kiel and Sarah have thousands of followers on their Instagram accounts (@KJP and @sarahKJP) where they post pictures of their exciting lifestyle and adventures with friends while also promoting their products. I’ll admit that I have insta-stalked both of them a handful of times, and there are just some things you can’t help but think as you scroll through their feeds.

1. Their bracelets are awesome!

Their traditional bracelets, made with rope and an anchor clasp, are a twist on the traditional summer bracelet. Growing up I would get those braided rope bracelets all the time. I would wear one all summer until it got worn, and eventually end up cutting it off at the end of summer. The anchor clasp adds a fun and nautical touch, while also making it easy to put on and take off.

2. Definition of couple goals

Who wouldn't want a relationship like Sarah and Kiel? From their spectacular engagement at the Ashford Castle, Ireland on New Years Eve last year, to their classy wedding at a quaint Christmas tree farm in Rhode Island this past December, Kiel and Sarah always look like the picture perfect couple. Not only do they run a successful business together, but they also look great while they do it!

3. They always top themselves

Whenever I think they can't get any better, they release a new product. My heart says, "buy it!" but my wallet says, "lol, you're a college student." I personally have my eye on a pair of their boat shoes.

4. Are all their friends models?

Contrary to most companies which hire models to promote their products, Kiel and Sarah simply take photos with their family and friends. Of course, they still look like the perfect preppy squad, but the people you see in their photos aren't pretending to be friends having a good time, they actually are.

5. They even make drinking coffee look fun!

Somehow both Sarah and Kiel make even the everyday tasks look fun. Simple things like a coffee run to Starbucks, or a day in the office a turned into something special.

6. They've had killer collaborations

The KJP Brand has collaborated with other brands such as Tucker Blair, Lilly Pulitzer, and Brooks Brothers to create new and unique products.

7. Everything is 100 percent made in America

One of the main focuses of the KJP Brand is to provide high quality, American made products. All of their products are made locally in their Rhode Island factory.

8. Serious closet envy

Both Sarah and Kiel have posted photos of their closet, and I don't think I have ever seen something so beautiful. Their closet is full of vintage sweaters, duck boots, and flannels in every color under the sun.

9. Is Kiel secretly Jay Gatsby?

Kiel is frequently posting pictures at different mansions and lavish estates with vintage cars. It's hard to believe this is all real life. Yet, despite sharing their adventures on social media, there is still somewhat of a mystery about what goes on behind the scenes.

10. Can I work for you?

Kiel and Sarah are known to run a "Summer Adventure School" called Camp Foxhawk. They select a small group of interns to mentor over a summer full of sailing trips, polo matches, bonfires on the beach, tennis, canoeing, classic cars, waterskiing, and soirees. Where do I sign up?

Toilet Troubles

"So, usually I would never go on a Tinder date but when you are out with girlfriends and a hot Bosnian guy says he wants to hang with you and his friends, you oblige. We head to their apartment and when I realized I may pee my pants if I don't find a bathroom soon. I ask for the bathroom and a friend of my tinder date shows me to it and said in all seriousness that I was not allowed to flush the toilet under ANY circumstances. Having a few drinks--or five--I relieved myself to, nevertheless, flush the toilet. Within seconds, his bathroom was flooded and towels were laid out everywhere to catch the toilet water. To say the least, we were not invited back"
