If you have ever stepped foot on the face of this Earth, you have seen God. Every little piece of creation is a facet of His intricate design. How cool is that? He made everything FOR US. He formed all of creation to point us back to Him and His perplexity.
Creation screams creator.
One of my favorite things in the world are trees. I couldn’t tell you why; they just intrigue me in a way that I can’t stop looking at them. When I need some peace, I’ll go outside and lay underneath a tree and watch the sun peak its shy little way through the leaves in orange and yellow bursts. The beauty of that captivates me and makes me forget why I was so stressed. So one day, while I was laying there, I thought to myself “why do I love trees so much?” Then it hit me. It hit me like a bus going 75 mph on the highway. God made this tree for ME. He made this tree so that when I am stressed and laying here, I can look up and think “wow, God is so unfathomably glorious.” God created everything to point back to Him-
When you see a mother taking care of her batch of precious puppies, that is our God- tender, nourishing, benevolent.
When you see a mountain covered in snow or an ocean extending to the horizon, that is our God- alluring, mysterious, beautiful.
When you see a husband holding his wife’s hand, that is our God- loving and intimate.
Some day, people will stand before God and claim to have never heard his word and then God will say; “Did you ever walk outside to see the flowers? I handcrafted those just for you. Did you ever see an innocent, helpless baby? I knitted her together in her mother’s womb. Did you ever watch the colors of the sunset? I painted that just for you,” and they will have nothing to say. Next time you go outside, make sure you notice the artistry and realize that there’s a God who made all of it. Just. For. You.
“The mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and the trees of the field will clap their hands.” -Isaiah 55:12
