15 Covers Better Than The Original

Sit back, relax with a pair of headphones and enjoy. My mission with this article is too invade your playlists. You will thank me later.

1. Tori Kelly - "Suit & Tie," "PYT" and "Thinkin' 'Bout You"

This cover just proves that Tori Kelly is more than just cool hair. The second she opens her mouth to sing, your jaw will hit the floor. This cover is one I have had on replay for weeks, and I know you will too.

2. Kiana Ledé

- "Work" and "Pillowtalk"

Songs that you would not think "work" well together do, and the product is amazing. If you have the time definitely check out her other covers. This cover is just a sample of her other ones.

3. Pentatonix - "Beyoncé"

If you're a Beyoncé fan, you will fall drunk in love with this cover. The ending is definitely my favorite part.

4. Leroy Sanchez - "When We Were Young"

*Cue melting.* Even if you don't love Adele you can't help, but love this cover. Leroy Sanchez has even more heart melting covers on his channel, which you should definitely check out.

5. Echosmith - "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me"

This one is my favorite. Echosmith turns this twangy song into a cool pop indie beat. If you're into pop songs you will love this.

6. Deejay Cruz - "Girl's Love Beyonce"

There's no video for it on youtube, but here's the link for the sound cloud. You need to prepare yourself.

7. Conor Maynard - "Love Yourself (Dunisco ft. JeyJeySax Remix)"

A bit more of an upbeat version of the original. By the end of this you will not only love yourself, but this cover.

8. Louis Wendroff - "BlankSpace / Style"

Nice to meet you, where you been, you should listen to this cover. It will never go out of style. Louis Wendroff took my two favorite songs from my favorite artist and made them better, A bit more of a chiller version than the originals as well.

9. MNEK - "A Thousand Miles"

The perfect jam to listen to while making your way downtown. The catchiness of the song is a disease. This cover will literally make you fall into the sky and time will pass you by.

10. Troye Sivan - "Hands to My Self / Sorry"

Don't keep your headphones to yourself. It is never too late to listen to this cover.

11. Max & Alyson Stoner - "Sweater Weather"

You're gonna wanna hold this cover in the hands of your sweater. Bit of a throwback, but honestly this cover never gets old.

12. Ed Sheeran - "Say it"

You just need to watch this cover for your mental health. I don't think I have ever heard a single bad Ed Sheeran cover. This one especially makes me want to just ship myself to a deserted island and just listen to this song for forever. We were all thinking it, I just said it.

13. Sarah Ajih - "Shake Me Down"

You do not want to be shaken down from this cover!

14. Halsey - "Trap Queen"

Seriously just when you thought you couldn't get more obsessed with Halsey.

15. Fifth Harmony - "Ex's and Oh's"

Believe me, you want this cover to haunt you. I don't know why, but this all-female group never fails.

Hopefully, these songs were much better than my bad puns.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
