To the couples who do not sit on the same side of the booth,

Why not?

Does your significant other smell bad?

About every time my boyfriend and I go out, we sit next to each other at a booth or table. We do not sit next to each other to invade our space or because we are physically morphed together. (Even though that would be so cool) We sit next to each other because we ENJOY each others company.

Before my boyfriend and I decided to go to the same college, we rarely got to see each other, so when we did we wanted to really use the time we had together wisely. We also sit on the same side because often times the places are too loud and I have a soft-spoken voice, so it is hard for him to hear me. In most cases, it is easier and more comfortable for me to hold his hand or for me to pick out the foods I don't like and put them on his plate.

My boyfriend and I do not think we are invading each other's space. We both enjoy being with each other and being close. If we were to separate, we both would be really devastated considering we have been dating since freshman year of high school. I think if we were to break up, it would have happened a long time ago.

We always have more than enough room for the food we order. A booth usually sits four people, and we are taking up the same amount of space as those who sit on the oppostie when we sit on the same side. Honestly, how much food are you ordering if you are worried that not all of your food will fit on the same side?

I do not see why it matters which side you prefer to sit on. If you sit on the same side, you basically have a cool footrest you would not be able to use if you sat on the opposite side.

Here are your answers.

Sincerely,

The Couple Who Sits On The Same Side
