Enjoy this beautiful weather with your significant other. Do not let the cold ruin the fun.

1. A cider mill is a delicious must!

Going to your local cider mill, getting some doughnuts and some yummy cider is a must for this holiday season. If you are on a budget, please remember that some cider mills have no entrance fee, simply pay for your cider and call it a night.

2. A 'Scary Movie' marathon for those cold nights in.

Take advantage of your subscriptions. Create a list of must see movies and begin your marathon. This one is a great idea especially because it costs nothing.

3. Visit a haunted house for the scare of the season!

Do some research, buy your tickets and go to for a scare of your night! There may even be some local haunted house in your neighborhood that will only charge a mere $5 entrance. College students, look up events on campus, I assure you a sorority or a frat is definitely doing one.

4. Rake leaves, jump, and have a fall-tastic day.

This one costs absolutely nothing, simply rake up the leaves, make piles and throw each other in.

Do some research on this one before going. Find the cheapest possible option near you. You can even make a challenge and decide to go separate ways when it begins. The challenge would be to see who gets out first.

Although the bags can sometimes be expensive think of it as an investment for an entire day. with that special someone. Simply go apple picking then go home and bake a pie or look up other recipes that include apples.

8. Go for a ride to your nearest pumpkin patch and carve some pumpkins.

Go pick up a pumpkin at your local farm or even at your store, find whichever option is cheaper. Get a carving kit from the dollar store or simply take out some knives and measuring cups to scoop and set out to carve your pumpkins!

9.  Take out the cookie cutters and frosting and bake some cookies...

This one is not as hard as it seems. Simply buy some cookie cutters, the ingredients and start baking! This one would make a perfect date with hot cocoa and movies!

Nothing is better to do in the fall season than to have a bonfire. Invite some friends over, roast some marshmallows and make some hot cocoa. If you would like to save a few extra bucks, ask everyone to bring something and if you have enough contributions it costs absolutely nothing.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.
