"Tough" by Kellie Pickler

This song helped me see that other people grew up fast and hard. Sometimes you need to have a little backbone just to get through things.

"Anyway" by Martina McBride

Life is hard, but you need to push through everything, trust your faith that God has put these obstacles in your life for you to see that you can get through it and show how strong you are.

"You’ll Always Be My Baby" by Sara Evans

After all the things that go wrong in your life, you know that your family and your faith are the two strongholds in your life and will get you through anything.

"There You’ll Be" by Faith Hill

Even during the loss of a special person, you will always have their memories to comfort you even if you don’t feel them by your side for you. You’ll focus on the good that person did you never focus on the bad, they shine in your heart and make you realize you are doing things for them.

"Wide Open Spaces" by Dixie Chicks

Striking out on your own is hard, but you got to believe in yourself, find the strength inside of you and use it. You can overcome whatever is pulling you down because you know what your weakness is.

"The Little Girl" by John Michael Montgomery

Sometimes the people with the worst lives have the strongest faith in Jesus. God shows His face to those that need Him most to make disciples out of them so that we can make disciples of others.

"This Ain’t Nothin’ " by Craig Morgan

This song shows all the horrible things happen in life can knock you down, but you always get up. You tell life it can suck it because if you can get through one thing you can get through anything.

"In Color" by Jamey Johnson

A picture saves a memory, but then you look at all the color or in person to show how hard things used to be.

Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
