Country Concert Essentials

Summer defined by the all-so-reliable Wikipedia as the hottest of the four temperate seasons, falling between spring and autumn. Yes, summer is hot, it is a break from school, a time for people to sit at the beach, relax and get a nice tan. The summer season is also the concert seasons. Yes, there are some concerts during the other months of course, but the summer is when everything really takes off with indoor, outdoor, free, private and every other concert imaginable. Country concerts are in high numbers as different venues will get as many country artists as possible to cram in a few couple of months. Before heading off to a country concert for the summer there are a few things you need to remember.

1. The perfect outfit

Everyone knows that when it comes to country concerts, there are an insane amount of pictures that will be taken, so you’ve got a have a cute outfit that will look good in pictures that will also fit the theme. Obviously, don’t show up in your prom dress; just a cute, casual outfit will do the trick

2. Sunnies

Protecting your eyes is important and the perfect pair of sunglasses completes any outfit. Not to mention sunglasses make it so you can stare and people-watch without the other person even knowing.

3. Munchies

Snacks are a must when you go anywhere, but especially at a country concert. The concert itself is only a couple hours, but the concert is a day-long process. Getting there early and tailgating everyone needs snacks and, hey, who doesn’t like snacks?

4. Don't forget the Bud

Now obviously this one pertains to 21 years olds. But what is a tailgate without the ever-patriotic Budweiser red white and blue cans?

5. My shoes used to be white.

DO not under any circumstance wear your favorite shoes to a country concert. Most of the time they are outside and it could be a mud pit and lord knows what else happens on that lawn. Be smart wear an old pair of sneakers and boots, and leave the good shoes at home

6. Water, water, water.

Hydration is key when you are out in the hot sun, that’s all I need to say

7. I need a charger.

Everyone is going to be taking pictures, snap chats and everything in-between and you don’t want to be that girl who’s phone is completely dead and have no pictures or videos to look back on.

8. Sanitize from head-to-toe.

Bathrooms at outdoor country concerts are gross, no way to get around that one. You are either using a porta potty or you are using a bathroom that for some reason has dirty water in puddles on the floor. Walking out of those bathrooms you feel more disgusting then when you walked in it so the sanitizer is a must.

9. Toilet paper

I know this sounds like an odd thing to bring to a country concert, but just trust me when I say you will thank me after the concert.

10. Folding table

You can eat at it, you can sit on it, you can play games on it, so never go too far without the folding table that can be used for anything.

11. Ticket

Now if it is a free concert, this doesn't apply to you however for most concerts you need a ticket, you don't want to get all the way to the concert and not have this so REMEMBER IT.
