With Trump Moving In Quick, Where Should We Go?

Countries That Are Doing It Right

As we've seen recently, America is definitely not the happiest, or freest for that matter, of a country. The U.S. thrives on the interest of big corporations, and ultimately the people and their needs, are put on the back burner. But good news is that the world isn't all evil and unfair. Here's a list of countries that are doing it right:

1) Sweden - They will be one of the first countries to be completely fossil free, running only on renewable energy. That's amazing! I already thought that it was a great country, but when you add that in the equation, it has to be the best! One of my favorite 70's bands 'ABBA' originated here, all of the women dress super awesome in mod clothing, and the clogs, oh the clogs, I wish I had one hundred pairs. Not to mention free health care and education. Everyone is equal, whether gay, immigrant, whatever you are, you are safe. Their culture believes in having a balanced life, with less work, and more time to travel and enjoy life.

2) Canada - Now that Trump is going to be President in January, people really are thinking about moving to Canada (I'm thinking about it too). For Americans, it's a great way to be abroad, and still being close to home. It is similar to America but there is free healthcare, free education, and less drama overall. Most of the country speaks English, except for Quebec which speaks French. Basically, you can cross the border from Vermont, and you'll feel like you're in France. The air and water quality is a lot cleaner than America's (if that's hard to believe). Their prime minister is a young hot guy, and the landscape is beautiful.

3) New Zealand - It is the smaller country besides Australia without all of the dangerous wildlife. There are gorgeous beaches and crazy landscapes that are hard to find anywhere else. There are many different cultures, yet most people speak English. Their government is big on climate change belief. The population isn't huge it's basically just a laid-back, big, beautiful island, far from the madness of the world. There's lots of sheep, glaciers, wide-open spaces, nice people, and good coffee...what more do you need?

4) Denmark - For the third time since 2012, Denmark has been named the happiest country in the world. Again, free healthcare and education (Bernie Sanders wanted this for us, but half of America is trippin'). Their culture believes in less time at work, to allow for time with friends and family. They believe in treating yo' self, and the term is Hygge meaning to be cozy and happy. So have that chocolate, relax and read that book in the park! There is a huge biking culture, so they are very active. Along with free healthcare, mental illness is taken seriously, unlike America. They also like Christmas and candles, a lot, so you can't go wrong with that.

5) The Netherlands - Biking, pot cafes, and houseboats...tell me more. There are more bikes than people in Amsterdam, which is pretty awesome. Most people flock here for the 'cafes' where you can have a little 'mary jane' with your cappuccino. There are three main canals in Amsterdam so therefore, there are lots of floating homes and boat rides if you're into that. And apparently, there are many international companies in the Netherlands, looking for non-Dutch speaking employees, so that's good news if you want to move there!

So if you want to get out of the U.S. before the s*** hits the fan, these are just a few of the countries worth looking into. Especially if you are young and not tied down to a family or career, why not take a chance.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
