Spring break. Such an exciting break. A break in the school year that seems to come at the perfect time. Oh how we love spring break. Now, it's just about the countdown to spring break. It'll be an emotional countdown but fear not, "The Office" is here to help you through it.
1. The “it’s so far away” stage
You’ve just gotten back from winter break. Oh, the joys of five weeks off, at home, spent with your dogs. Now spring break feels so far away. And you have to deal with this thing called ice? At least classes might get cancelled.
2. The “only four weeks away” stage
OK, four weeks. That’s not too bad. That’s just four one-week sets. That’s just 28 one-day sets. That’s just 672 hours. That doesn’t seem too bad, right?
3. The “I can do this” stage
You’ve finished all the work you have for the week. You are watching Netflix and eating all the junk food you aren’t supposed to eat because of that “spring break bod,” but whatever, right? You can finish school off strong until spring break!
4. The “oh sh*t, it’s midterms” stage
Oh yeah, those exams that come in the middle of the semester and count for a lot of your grade? Yep, those. It’s OK, don’t panic, you can pull a few all-nighters and get great grades on them, right?!
5. The “only one more midterm” stage
Yeah! You got through most of those horrible exams that count for so much of your grade! One more to go and you’re almost to spring break! Life is good.
6. The “when will I pack” stage
Whelp, you may have forgotten about packing but that’s OK, right? I mean, it’s spring break! What do you really need? A bathing suit or two, maybe one or two pairs of real clothes? What do you mean it is not going to be 80 degrees? It’s only going to be 40 degrees? But it’s spring break!
7. The “I have to do laundry” stage
Now that you know it isn’t 40 degrees, you have to actually do laundry so you have clothes. No getting by with just bathing suits and shorts.
8. The “I have my life together” stage
You’ve done laundry. You’ve packed. You have no more exams. A few days of Netflixing and getting through classes, then it’s finally spring break! Thank goodness!
9. The “it's finally spring break” stage
You made it. Beach, here you come. Relax, eat, go to an indoor swimming pool. No commitments, no homework, no exams. Take it in. Enjoy it. Love it.
10. The “do I have to go back so soon” stage
Friday’s here and spring break is coming to an end. Why’d it have to end so soon? Don’t worry. Summer will be here soon.
