7 Signs You Will Be A Coug For Life

If you have ever met a Washington State University fan, alumni, student, or any other person involved in this school, you know first hand the awesome vibe and family they all are. Well, for us Cougs, here is the list that explains precisely why we all are Cougs for life.

1. You support every Coug you meet

It doesn't matter where you are. If you see someone rocking a Cougs hat or anything at all, you have an instant bond. It's something us, Cougs call "anything for our fellow Coug." It's a saying we all follow very closely, especially at school. If anyone needs our help, we are always the first to be there.

2. You go to as many Coug sporting events as you can

Being at the games gives you a different kind of happiness, and it is something you cherish, and it's a good excuse to take Fridays off of work.

3. Your homes, cars, clothes are all decked out with Coug things

If you're a Coug for life, nothing you own is absent of your Cougar pride. Your things always feel a little homier with it anyway. So, you really don't mind it, or the attention it gets because "Go Cougs!"

4. You have your favorite Coug bar whereever you live

Whether in California, Texas, Washington or any state, you all know exactly where you go to celebrate your Cougs or just hang out with your Coug buddies.

5. You are forever a passionate fan of your Cougs

It doesn't matter if they are winning or losing you will always be the passionate fan you are. You will support the Cougs no matter what and it's a part of your life you will always enjoy.

6. "GO COUGS!"

Enough said here.

7. Being a Coug means being a part of a Family

When you become a Coug, you become a part of a family that will always love, support, and care for you. It's an awesome experience not many others can relate to, so remember not to take it for granted.

I am so happy I am a Coug for life. Meeting and being a part of this Cougar family is something I will never want to live without. Go Cougs!

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
