Costco's Boozy Eggnog Has A 13.9 Percent ABV, So Your Xmas Party 100 Percent Needs It

It's only November 7, but the festive drinks have already started to pour in from all directions, and, so far, they haven't disappointed. There's Baileys' Red Velvet Liqueur, a $1 Vodka Cranberry Lemonade drink deal from Applebee's, and of course, your typical batch of holiday drinks from Starbucks - I'm talking goodies like chestnut praline latte and peppermint mocha.

But so far, none of these drinks have felt as festive as this $9 boozy eggnog from Costco. Yep, you read that right, for just $9 each you can stock up on 1.5 Liter bottles of alcoholic eggnog that has 13.9 percent ABV (alcohol by volume)!! That's enough booze to help you cope with relatives asking you "what are your post-grad plans?" every five minutes at your Thanksgiving table.

Costco's Kirkland eggnog product is actually called an "Eggnog Wine Cocktail," which can be a little confusing given that traditional boozy eggnog is made using eggs, cream and some type of liquor like rum or brandy, but definitely NOT wine. In fact, I don't know how I feel about the idea of combining wine, eggs, and cream in a drink?! 🤢

But fear not, because Costco's customers were quick to notice that the beverage may not, in fact, contain any trace of wine. Instead, Costco might have decided to label the drink a "wine cocktail" instead of "liqueur" due to state liquor laws, as one Reddit user astutely pointed out.

Back to fangirling about the beverage.

Costco's spiked holiday eggnog is made with real dairy cream and best served over ice. According to People, some Costco shoppers found the boozy beverage to be a little too lit saying it has a "strong alcohol taste." But you can always add some more alcohol-free store-bought eggnog and ice cubes to the mix to dilute it.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and head to Costco to stock up on the #1 festive drink of the season (yep, that's right, I'm calling it!).

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
