On Monday, Governor Doug Ducey issued a stay at home order for the entire state of Arizona. What does this mean? Well, all non-essential businesses are closed. But grocery stores, hospitals, gun stores, and golf courses, yes golf courses, are still open. Arizona currently has over 1,000 active cases of COVID-19, and the numbers are on the rise. Governor Ducey was late to the game in issuing his stay at home order. Senator Kyrsten Sinema and other local mayors around the state called on Ducey weeks ago to issue the order. Arizona has been pretty far behind in the number of available testing kits. Numbers show that we are the last in the nation for testing. However, these are only from public labs. Private labs have tested several thousand people, but have not released their numbers. The Grand Canyon State is in it for the long haul, just as other states here in the U.S., it's just a waiting game until the other foot drops.
