I'm not a house wife in any way

Housewife: a married woman whose sole job is doing housework, caring for her family, and managing household affairs.

No thank you! Not only do I hate the term "housewife", but I also do not like the idea that my sole responsibility in life is to stay home, cook, clean, and do laundry! Here are 10 reasons that being a housewife would not be ideal for me:

1. I am an independent woman.

I do not wish to spend my life sitting at home, waiting for my husband to come home from work. Although as a mother, your children often rely on you, I would like to instill a sense of independence in them as well! I would love to show them that things in life are earned and not handed to you. I cannot think of a better way to show my children this than by going out and getting a job and working hard to provide for myself.

2. I want to create my own dream.

Success in life comes from hard work and determination! I wish to work hard and create my own dreams. Everyone is entitled to their own hopes, dreams, and ambitions. Achieving your dreams takes hard work, dedication and sacrifice. My dream is not to sit at home being a housewife. You shouldn't rely on a man for everything, including achieving your dreams!

3. I enjoy working.

I enjoy waking up in the morning and knowing that I will accomplish something at work today! I enjoy the social interaction that the workplace provides. I enjoy having a sense of responsibility and accomplishment after a hard day's work.

4. I'm educated.

The fact of the matter is that I am intelligent. I am aware of the things going around in the world around me and have opinions on political issues! I do not wish to spend my days doing laundry or cleaning the house. I would rather be experiencing the world and enriching myself.

5. It would not make me happy.

I earned a college degree that I intend to use. I do not want to put my career goals on hold for the sake of my husband or children. I know that being a housewife, at least at this point in my life, would not make me happy. It is not a goal that I wish to attain. I love my life, enjoy being independent, and find purpose in working. I do not desire to be a house wife.

6. I probably wouldn't get any chores done.

I don't believe that household chores are a full time job. Being home, I would get distracted and probably spend all day being lazy on the couch! I would like household responsibilities to be split fairly among house members. Giving children basic chores gives them a sense of responsibility at an early age. I would love to bond with my children by showing them how to cook, do laundry, and clean.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
