You Can Cook Anything With A Crockpot
A Year of Slow Cooking

I am inspired to write this article by my best friend, Maddie Marshall as the smell of her pork shoulder is making my mouth water. Sweet caramelized onions, and homemade BBQ sauce permeate the air. BUT, what makes this dish so fun is it was created in the good ole CROCKPOT. What is a crockpot? Dictionary.com defines it as "a large electric cooking pot used to cook stews and other dishes slowly." But, my dear friends, you can cook way more than just stews. Crockpots are meant to be used 365 days of the year, for whatever dish, and whatever event. Well, at least I like to say that!

If don't have a crock pot I suggest you get one. This handy little machine cooks absolute wonders. Busy person? Perfect. Leave whatever you got cooking in there for around 5-7 hours (depending on what you cook) to just marinate away until you get home from a long day at work and bam, dinner is ready.

Here are some oh so yummy crockpot recipes that you can simple google or look up on Pinterest. I guarantee you will love them.

For the meat eaters- Check out the Honey Garlic Chicken and Veggies. This hearty meal will be perfect for your protein and ruffage intake. The honey balances out the dish and adds a great sweetness.

For the vegetarians- Stuffed Shells with Spinach. This cheesy goodness will warm your vegetarian hearts. This dish will keep you full and happy. GO CARBS!

For the sweet tooths- Carrot Cake and Zucchini Bread Oatmeal. This dish is great for the health nuts out there. This breakfast, or more like dessert (because who said you can't have dessert for breakfast) is soy free, gluten free and vegan.

For you dare devils out there- Funky Crockpot Casserole. This casserole takes: eggs, spices, zucchini, hot dogs, mozzarella cheese, and Bacon Ranch dressing. Let me know if you are brave enough to try it.

I hope this has inspired you to buy a crock pot. It's a go to meal maker. I guarantee you will be happy with your slow cooked, yummy meals.

If you honestly don't want to buy a crock-pot because you think its a ridiculous invention than I totally get that. But, if I could say one last thing, get a crock-pot for your poor neighbors. Don't you want to just make your whole neighborhood jealousy of your cooking skills? But, really you just threw it all into the crockpot and you simple sat back and relaxed?

I wish all of you luck if you are about to begin your crockpot adventures. Food is great. You are great. Strive to be a crockpot owner.

Have a great week everyone!

Your friend,

Alexa LoGiudice

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

The Unwritten Rules Of "Talking"

What is "talking?" How does one "talk?"

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
