The Magic Continues: What It's Like Working For Mickey Mouse
Walt Disney World

This past week, I checked into the Disney College Program for my second program. I cannot describe how excited I am to work for the Walt Disney Company once again. I am blessed to have this opportunity once again and I can’t wait to begin making magic once again for guests at Walt Disney World. My entire week consisted of getting checked in to housing and meeting the guys that I will be living with for the next seven months. Before I start working, I had the chance to check out Pandora: World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I traveled 4.4 light years to Pandora and I was speechless when I saw the floating mountains. The land was very immersive and it felt like I was part of the A.C.E. observing the Navi.

There are two attractions in this land, which are the Navi River Journey and Flight of Passage. Both are great attractions, but Flight of Passage was the best. As they described in the queue, it was a rite of passage into the Navi' culture. As we climb aboard a banshee, we are taken on breathtaking journey through Pandora with a beautiful landscape that felt like we were part of the Navi’ culture. I personally teared up, it really was such a beautiful experience. I can’t wait to ride it again and experience more of what Pandora has to offer such as the drinks, food and merchandise.

I seriously can’t believe that I am working for the most magical company in the world and I get to become part of the magic once again. I always dreamed of working for this company that I have such a strong an emotional attachment with the films, the parks and the characters of Disney. I never thought that I would be living out my dreams and working in a place that I love so much. I seriously loved my first program and I am more than excited to see where my second program takes me. I hope to network with the right people and hopefully market myself to hopefully land a part-time or full-time job.

We will just have to see where my future with Disney will lead me and hopefully somewhere magical!

Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
