It may be hard going back to college and trying to continue that resolution to stay healthy, but by following a few tips, your healthy lifestyle can prosper.

Exercise with Friends

Going to work out with some company can turn out very productive. Your friends can encourage you to do better, and going to the gym could seem less intimidating and much more fun. Trading exercises, attending classes, or even playing intramurals are great, healthy ways to readjust to being back at college during the new year.

Eat Well

First and foremost, have a well-balanced diet. It's hard not falling back into the habits that come along with attending college. Dieting can be difficult when you are surrounded by fast food almost everywhere you go, but with the right mindset and proper research, eating healthy can become easier. Try eating more vegetables and fruits, and don't try to portion control every meal you have. It's okay to slip up every now and then. Researching what food is good for your body type and being knowledgeable about what you eat is very important to staying well.

Sleep More

Sleeping is credited towards being one of the major factors in staying healthy. Sleeping allows us to restore ourselves from our daily lives. It helps reduce stress, improve your memories, and even help your body heal itself. More sleep is what keeps our body functioning properly.

Plan Things Out

Have a schedule to help balance out your life. By doing this, you can get organized and know what is needed to get done at a specific time. You can schedule when you work out when you have classes, and even when you go out with friends. This can help reduce stress and make you happier overall, as well as, produce a healthier and organized lifestyle.

Avoid Caffeine

It's hard being in college and not drinking coffee or soda. However, caffeine actually causes much more than a boost in activity. It causes irritability, interferes with sleep, and even causes difficulty with concentration. So by avoiding caffeine, one can become a well off person.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking more water can help out with your body's way of coping with all the activities that you do. Water boosts health and metabolism while helping your bodily organs function properly. Water hydrates you, reduce headaches, and keeps you glowing well.

Have Fun

Going out with friends is a good way to de-stress and enjoy your life. It increases endorphins that help you stay happy and feel good about yourself. Having fun and enjoying yourself is one of the primary focuses of a healthy mind to the healthy body people seek.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
