On Facebook the other day, I read something extremely relevant and I wanted to share it all with you. "In Japan, broken objects are often repaired with gold. The flaw is seen as a unique piece of the objects history, which adds to its beauty. Consider this when you feel broken." Life is like the person who always picked on the smaller kids and never knew when enough is enough these days and it always feels as if its never going to end.
You got a bad grade. You worked really hard and overcome a ton of adversities in order to get the assignment in on time only for it not to be good enough. So you go home only to do more work and cry yourself to sleep. One day you will be at work and doing what you love. No one will point out to you that you got a few Cs in college and that it basically ruined you when you were in the moment. You will have forgotten it and moved on and it added to your character. Consider this when you feel broken.
You ended a relationship. You thought that maybe they were someone you could spend the rest of your life with. You made plans and changed a lot about your goals to fit with theirs only for it to just be over. Now you are alone and not sure what to do now. One day you'll be married and living in the house of your dreams with two (to three) children of your own. No one is going to bring up the past for anything other than embarrassing stories of who mommy or daddy dated when they were younger. Consider this when you feel broken.
You're running out of money. You are living pay check to pay check and you just can't seem to make ends meet. You cut back on everything to the point where it just doesn't seem like you have anything fun in your life anymore. The tears stream down your face as you call your mom or dad to bail you out again because you know they don't have the money either. One day you'll be giving money away to people like you so they never have to know the struggle of pay check to pay check ever again. You'll know that the bills are paid and your card won't decline when you buy yourself something special because you wanted it. Consider this when you feel broken.
All these things that life throws at you, you find a way to fill it with gold. They make you who you are. You may fall down sometimes but you get back up and keep going in order to develop into who you are supposed to be. Don't worry this bump in the road isn't the end, Consider this when you feel broken.
