Working in a restaurant, whether it be fast food or a fancy sit down place, you're going to have an ongoing battle with the pros and cons of being in that environment. Sometimes these cons will have you questioning if this job is even worth it and if you should move on to a normal department store. So before you decide to start working in a restaurant, take a look at these few cons and see if it's the job for you.

1. Those late nights out with friends you used to have will be taken by night shifts

2. Customers can be complete assholes

3. No matter how rude a customer is, you have to hold your composure

4. Your paycheck

Want to make a decently large purchase? That sucks cause if you're a server you better wish for some good tips or that paycheck could be $4.

5. When you get put down to work a double

a.k.a. the worst thing ever

6. The stupid shit you have to say when a customer comes in

7. Those lovely customers that come in 5-10 minutes before closing

No but really, working in a restaurant can be the best thing ever but it can also be the worst thing to ever happen to you. Either way money is money and if you're in desperate need of it, taking on these cons might be your best shot, it sure has been for me.
