Conquering "Nothingness"

Even when we feel like we have nothing, through God, we have everything.

Conquering "Nothingness"
Lyndie Copeland

It's easy to feel like nothing.

Your life is going swimmingly. The sky is blue and your path is clear. Yet, seemingly out of nowhere, storm clouds blanket your blue sky and you can no longer see the path ahead.

You panic. You feel lost, hurt, and confused. Everything seems to be going wrong. Without the security of normalcy and comfort of clarity, you feel like nothing.

I have fallen into the pit of "nothingness" far more times than I would like to admit. As I have watched the storm clouds roll in, I scurried from God's path for my life and sought shelter elsewhere. Yet, as I strayed from God's plan, the storm engulfed my soul and flooded my life with negativity and confusion.

In the midst of my despair, I asked God to bring me peace and to expose the sin that was blocking my vision. In return, God calmed the storm that was reeking havoc in my soul and remedied my weary heart with Psalms.

Through the Book of Psalm, God equips us all with the tools we need to conquer the pit of "nothingness."

Psalm 23:1

When you follow God, you have everything. When you follow God, He guides you, even when you are blinded. He is strong when we you are weak. He is light, even in the darkness.

Psalm 37:24

God's hand is always upholding you. You will never truly fall.Even when the pit of nothingness tries to pull you down, God reaches out and keeps you afloat through it all. As the anchor of your soul, God acts as a tether, never letting you drift too far. God is always in control.

Psalm 91:4

God is your protector. Under the power of God's truth and love, you are protected. As Psalm 147:3 says, even when we are broken and need healing, God "heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

The storm that plagues you and makes you feel like "nothing" doesn't stand a chance against God. His power is unfathomable.

With God by your side, you haveeverything.

With God, you areeverything.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
