To the souls who struggle with their personal demons,
You're not alone. This is a battle you deal with personally, but it doesn't mean you have to go through it alone.
In the past year alone, I have been around people who have passed away and have suffered from addiction and suicide. Addiction comes in many shapes and many forms.
I know people who are addicted to hard drugs, while some are addicted to self-harm; and I know people whose depression can cause the same effects as the others would. Now, as someone who has suffered from depression for a majority of my life, I always have sympathy for those who struggle with any type of inner issues.
But enough is enough.
When is the right time to get help? It's a question that roams around anyone who is struggling with this. The time is right when it starts to click. You can't help a person in a state of despair because they will not listen coherently.
The first step is actually admitting you have an issue and accepting that you need help. Some people do not want to receive help because they think it's embarrassing, but the only embarrassing thing is putting your life in danger. Youā€™re destroying your sanity and your loved ones.
