Have you ever felt like God is everywhere on Earth except by your side? Sometimes when we go through difficulties or "valleys" in life, we can forget how close to us God really is. We don't see any change in our lives and our prayers may seem to be in vain. Could God really abandoned us?

He is God, so technically He could, but He won't. He promises us again and again in His word that He will NEVER leave us. Even if we sin the same sin 100 times in a row. Even if we haven't been to church in months. Even if we are struggling. God doesn't give up on us and will never leave our side. Sometimes we just need a little reminding.

1. Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

No matter what we are going through, we don't need to be afraid, God is next to us every step of the way.

2. Revelation 21:3

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.'"

God is not sitting up in Heaven looking down at us from afar, He is dwelling with us. He is inside all believers and we are His people.

3. John 14:16-17

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."

Believers have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside us forever. Once we believe, that can't be taken away.

4. Psalm 23:4

"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Even in the valley, He is by our side, protecting and comforting us.

5. Matthew 28:20

"Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

God is with us FOREVER. He is with us in life and in death.

6. Joshua 1:5

"No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you."

God promises to stay with us and not abandon us, even in times of trouble.

7. Romans 8:38-39

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Absolutely nothing can tear you away from God's love. His love surpasses any human comprehension of love.

8. Genesis 28:15

"I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

God has a plan for each of our lives, and He is going to guide us through it. He won't leave us in the middle and He always keeps His promises.

9. Isaiah 41:10

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. "

God is holding us in His hand and He is not going to drop us. He didn't drop us yesterday and he won't drop us tomorrow.

10. Psalm 139:7

"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?"

Nowhere! God is everywhere. We can't outrun Him and we can't push Him away. God is always with us, even when we feel like He's not.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
