By now, many high school seniors have had their final days of school and some have already even had their graduations. So here's to you class of 2018, wherever you may be graduating from, congratulations.

You may not see it as a big deal, but it is. There are kids all over the world that do not have the opportunity to have an education, never mind the chance to graduate from high school. So be proud of your accomplishments because this is a chance for you to achieve even higher goals and bigger dreams. I am proud to say that I have a brother that is part of the 2018 graduating class as I am sure many of us do or have cousins or friends that have graduated. Although my graduation from high school was three years ago, it seems longer than that. Time goes by very quickly so enjoy the summer with your friends before you leave to depart on your next adventure.

You will grow and change and may not be the same person you were back in high school. you may gain some new friends and you may lose some friends along the way. Nevertheless, learn from your experiences and mistakes and challenge yourselves every day. College or whatever you may be doing after high school will be new and exciting. As someone that can speak from experience, friends come and go but your academic achievements do not. Always strive to work hard and do the best you can do.

But for now, class of 2018, you have the summer to enjoy, so do it. Spend time with your friends and family before you have to start school in the fall. Be adventurous and be kind. And once again, congratualitns.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.
