For today’s post, I am bringing you Part 9 of The Perfect Day: Confronting Truths which is part of a series paying tribute to Soap Operas like General Hospital, The Young and The Restless and Days of our Lives.

Carl stepped into his office early in the morning. He was ready to begin his week without letting any distractions keep him from trying to work things out with Kolby.

After all, he did not want to upset Kolby and cause any harm to the baby.

I just need to make sure I focus on Kolby and try to get back to

Reconnecting with her.

If only I could stop thinking about Rachel.

Carl was so deep in his thoughts he did not see his brother James step into his office.

“Hey! Little brother are you busy?”

Carl was a bit surprised to see him as he got out of his chair.

“Okay, why are you here?” asked Carl.

James gave him a smirk and began walking towards him.

“Come on Carl, let’s make peace.”

“I don’t want to make peace with you James.”

“Carl, look I know you are mad about Kolby!”

Suddenly James became angry.

“James you don’t get to demand anything after you slept with Kolby, and you both cheated!"

“I know we did, but you are crazy to work things out with Kolby! “

As the shouting escalated. James began to see how upset Carl was becoming.

“Look I am sorry Carl I am sorry for putting you through this,” said James in a calming tone.

Carl looked over at James.

James apology seemed sincere. So he decided to hear him out.

“Alright, James let’s talk.”

“Damn Carl! I didn’t come to argue with you. I just wanted to come and talk to you, and ask you why you are trying to work things out with Kolby?

Carl walked back to his seat.

“You know why James.”

“Oh yeah the baby,” said James.

Carl tried to remain calm.

“What do you mean by that?”

"Carl first how do you know the baby is yours?”

Carl got up again.

“James this is pointless; I can’t talk to you!”

“Yes, you can. Listen to me Carl, I don’t think Kolby is having your baby!”

“James you need to stop being a punk and go!”

“Carl, there is a chance this baby could be mine. This is why I am here.”

“What are you saying?” asked Carl.

“I am saying that I am going to have Kolby take a paternity test.”

For a few minutes, the thought of James being the father made Carl think about being able to be with Rachel.

Maybe this is for the best.

For James to be the father of Kolby’s baby.

After a long pause, James began to wonder what was on Carl’s mind.

“What’s the matter Carl?” asked James.

“Nothing, I think you better go!”

“No, I want to know what you were thinking of and better yet who?

Carl looked at James.

“James just go!”

“Carl, I know you are thinking of a way out from Kolby. I know you want to be with Rachel and I am going to help you.”

Carl began shaking his head.

“What? Are you serious?” asked Carl,

“Trust me, bro. Kolby is not someone you can trust!”

Then James walked out the door.

After James left Carl began to think about what he said.

Hmm, could James be right?

Is Kolby lying again?

I hope you will tune into Part 10 of The Perfect Day for next week. To check out the series follow them here on Odyssey.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

1107
Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.
