Taking On Conflict With Courage
Dr. Bill Wooten

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” -Deuteronomy 31:6.

We go through some rough seasons in our life when we don't understand where God is taking us. You are sitting there sobbing or infuriated and asking God for strength and courage to pull through these hard times. Here are some suggestions for those times in our life when we need help taking on conflict with courage.

1. Read the Bible.

The bible is the best medicine when you need a pick me up. Most people don't believe it, but sometimes you stumble on to something that is exactly what you needed.

2. Talk to your local Pastor.

God has a funny way of working in people's hearts. Every time I've talked to a local pastor or my mentor I always feel better because they always seem to know exactly what to say, even if the result I want is in God's timing.

3. Breathe into the fear in your heart.

This gif has been a life saver for preventing anxiety attacks. Breathing exercises can help bring your mind and heart back on track to see where your heart needs to go or what it needs.

4. Recognize that people are with you.

God will always be with you in all seasons, even the hard ones. The people around you that are near and dear to your heart will always support you in everything you do that they feel is right by God.

5. Be afraid and act anyway

Sometimes you might be scared to take on something. It's okay to be scared, act on it anyways though. If it doesn't work out, it wasn't in God's plan for you.

6. Trust in Him

God planned your entire life before He made you. He planned when you would mess up and sin, He planned when you would doubt Him, and He planned the highest moments in your life. Believe everything He does for you is good.

7. Embrace Failure.

Sometimes you work so hard for something and it doesn't go the way you want it to at all. God didn't have that in your plan, so embrace it. Embrace that He has something bigger and better for you.

8. Meditate

Do some yoga, read your bible, sit into your own thoughts. Sometimes just doing this can be the best medicine for you.

9. Be spontaneous

Take a random road trip or do something you've never done before! Sometimes when you're facing conflict, you have to get away before you step up the courage to do something. Have some fun and let the road take you where it wants you to go.

10. Believe in yourself.

Yes believe in God's plan always but believe that you can do it to. Sometimes the best way to understand courage is to have it in yourself.

11. Always have Faith.

Believe in everything that God is doing in your life, and believe in yourself. Have faith in all that is done.
