When your mind says you're wrong, that you'll never be right,
That you'll fail every test, that you'll lose every fight,
That you'll fall and stay down, that you'll break when you bend,
That you'll always go nowhere, that you'll meet a dead end,
What do you do?
Do you say, "Yes, it's true; I'll never be much?"
Do you give up your hopes and your dreams and such?
Do you cry and can't stop, but you just don't know why?
Do you look at the ground, or up at the sky?
Here's what to do:
Tell your thoughts to sit down and let hopefulness drive.
Tell yourself that you've got this, that you can survive.
Tell your mind that just because it says you're wrong,
Doesn't mean that it's right — because you, too, are strong.
