There are two kinds of people in this world: dog lovers and cat lovers, each of which have their own unique qualities. I myself am a dog lover. I grew up begging my parents to adopt a dog by researching every breed known to man. Eventually they had to give in to their overly obsessed daughter. Two dogs later, I've realized that all dog lovers have the same experiences that would be too embarrassing to share. Here are ten confessions of a dog owner:
1. Sharing Secrets
All dog lovers secretly tell their dogs about all of their life problems. Luckily, dogs can't talk back.
2. Cuddling
Dogs are the greatest at cuddling, and you can bet a dog lover will roll up into a ball on top of the dog bed.
3. Baby Talk
Talking to a dog like an adult just doesn't seem right.
4. Leaving Home
Me: Bye mom
Me; Bye dad
Me: Bye puppy, I love you so much! I'll miss you baby, stay safe!
5. Puppy Watch
Dog lovers probably spend more time looking online for adoptable dogs than doing homework.
6. Tricks
Teaching tricks is the greatest part of a dog lover's day.
7. Seeing Dogs in Public
I almost feel bad for all of the people I bombarded during their dog walk.
8. Dog Parks
Heaven.
9. Movies
There are a lot of tears shed during dog movies. If the dog dies... forget it.
10. Play Time
The real question is, who gets dirtier? The dog or the human?
Whether or not your a dog owner, or just a dog lover, I'm sure you've done almost every one of these things. Luckily, dogs love us just as much, no matter how crazy we may be. We're thankful for our dogs everyday.
