1. No this is not my natural hair color.
But thank you for thinking so.
2. I have no idea what my natural hair color looks like.
I'm guessing it's some shade of brown, but I haven't seen it in years.
3. Sometimes, I’m surprised when people refer to me as a blonde.
To me, my hair will never be as blonde as I want it. I just always assume that it looks darker than it is and that I could possibly be a brunette.
4. I spend way more than a normal person ever should on a haircut.
It costs to be a diva.
5. I have an abundance of shampoos.
I love to try new things. I mean, who doesn't? So when I see a shampoo that tells me it will give me a brilliant blonde, I'm going to go for it. Who doesn't want to be brilliant?
6. Sometimes I want to dye my hair dark.
But I won't. Do you know how long it has taken me to build this color?
7. I am particular about who styles my hair.
It takes talent to even cut hair properly. Highlighting and balayaging correctly are true talents, and I'm not about to let a friend try and do it for me with a box kit.
8. I have cried after receiving bad highlights.
It was truly that bad.
9. Half the reason I get highlights is because it keeps my hair from getting as greasy.
I just want to look clean, okay?
10. If my roots are bad, please refrain from looking at them.
If you sit behind me in lecture, I apologize for the atrocity that you have to continue to look at. I'll get them touched up soon.
11. I send ugly Snapchats of myself with foils in my hair to my other blonde friends every time I get my hair done.
Only they can understand feeling like a baked potato.
12. I constantly worry if I filled in my eyebrows too dark for my hair color.
This is a thing, you know.
13. I have an average amount of fun.
It's always been a common phrase that blondes have more fun. However, since I went to the blonde side I seem to be having similar amounts of fun.
