11 Reasons Why Teachers Make The Best Girlfriends

Friendships are one of life's greatest gifts, but even greater is having a significant other that can become your one and only in the long run. What's even greater is dating a teacher! Although other professions may not compare in salary to that of a teacher, what does surpass them all is the high levels of love, family-like ambient, and the swooning that a teacher can make you feel.

For that and more, here are just a few of multiple reasons why trying to make a teacher your one and only could be better than any other candidate.

1. Vacations!

Teachers get not just a couple of days off during the summer, oh no, no they get the entire summer off, as well as major holidays and even some on top of that! If you enjoy days where you can lay back and relax during these major holidays then a teacher would be the best candidate for you!

2. They're not into money.

While other professions are enjoying the luxury of getting paid at a higher rate than that of teachers, teachers are not worried nor concerned for this. After all, this is something that one does not find out at a later term but is instead told from the very beginning. Which means that if she is willing to invest in obtaining a career that may not always provide the highest of commodities and still goes forth to do it, then she is worth every penny.

3. They can make a room focus on her.

Let's face it, teachers are beyond great for making their presence known in a classroom. Which means that they can not only make you focus on what you are suppose to be doing, but it also means that they will not be shy. Additionally, there will never be an awkward silence for she can ensure that there is always a steady flow of communication.

4. They are intelligent!

There is no way that a teacher can survive without fully knowing the content that she is teaching, and not only that, but her students will bring about the most interesting of questions which will ensure that she is beyond prepared. For example, if you were to date a Math teacher you would also be dating the person who can ensure that you stay on budget!

5. Having kids is not high on the priority list

Whether you date an elementary or secondary school teacher, they will always have more than 15 students that will become like his/her very own children. You are guaranteed to have a daily update on them, her budget will always include her students, and you will not be required to have the talk about children right away. Trust me, she will be fine with waiting a couple of years for having kids of her own.

6. You will never need a pen, pencil, or notebook

Teachers love stationary and school supplies, which means they will always have a writing utensil and notepad - guaranteed. Similarly, if you ever want to see her smile or need gift ideas, stationary supplies are a great idea!

7. Your parents will love her

Teachers are used to meeting parents and having to make the positive and improvement calls to parents. So when the time comes to introduce her to your parents she will not be nervous and it would be like having a parent conference for her, plus she will ensure that you, too, are calm. Let's face it, parents respect teachers and know that their children are in safe hands with them.

8. Not a planner? Well that would not be a problem!

Not only will she have an actual planner but she will also have every date laid out for you, as well. Do not misinterpret this as a bossy attitude by any means! With much experience with lesson planning for not just a day, but weeks at a glance, she will be sure to have everything from meeting time to traffic time during date night.

9. Positive reinforcement, setting expectations, and accountability will all be set on the table for you.

Educators will always compliment you and tell you how great you are doing, even if you still need to tweak a few things. They will always have clear expectations for themselves, for you, and for the relationship as a whole. You will still have to decipher her from time-to-time, but overall she will be straightforward with you. With that being said, she will always keep you accountable for what the relationship has as goals, what you have as life goals, and any promises you make. (She will remember them all, trust me.)

10. She will be sweet as pie, creative and thoughtful

Do not be surprised if you randomly receive a hand-made card from her "just because" in the middle of the week, for she will be sure to do anything to make you happy at all times. If you ever need help with a work project or even putting on a party for your company shes is your go-to person! You will have a Pinterest-based project within a couple of hours, if not minutes.

11. She is definitely wife and mother material

Teachers are great with timelines and due dates so you will not have to worry about moving too fast or too slow, for they will always let you know. In the mean time, do know that she is definitely both wife and mother material for she knows how to handle various levels of stress, children, budgets, and overall she will always show you what love truly means.

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
