Winter. A cold, unforgiving time of the year. A time where basic white girls put away their pastel shorts of Nantucket red, mint green, and white for various an entirely different outfit of sorts. While we as men surely do not mind the drastic change in clothing — the winter outfit, of course, is appealing to the eyes but we have to consider, how long does it take you to get dressed in the morning? And, how do you decide to put this together? Apparently I shouldn't wear black with navy or brown. I didn't know that...? Anyway, here we have a comprehensive breakdown of the basic white girl winter outfit.

The Hats

As winter rolls along, one of the most important clothing pieces is a hat to keep your head and ears warm, especially a beanie of some sorts. This is more practical wear, and can often rep a lot of different things such as various sports teams. It definitely also helps hide your hair when it's wet, fam.

The Jackets

As far as winter gear goes, jackets are also pretty practical. They're warm, heavy, durable, and fashionable. Every girl has a fur jacket or, at least, a fur hood with probably with too many zippers. Fur vests, fur everything. Seriously. PETA could complain as much as they want, as long as white girls get their fur.

The Sweaters

The classic PINK sweater that's not actually pink...misleading but every girl two or more, honestly. This girl in the picture has enough to cloth an entire African family...but hey they're super cute or something...right?

The Scarves

Scarves...really? I mean sure you gotta keep your neck warm and, of course, there's always need to hide those after club battle scars. But half the time girls look like they're wearing a neck brace or a fleece blanket or something...are those vacuum fight wounds that big? If so, I totally understand and wish it was socially acceptable for me to wear scarves.

The Leggings

More comfortable than jeans and apparently can go with anything, every girl claims they have more than one pair but I have yet to be proven otherwise. Despite that, every guy can't deny they love legging season, which is arguably every season, but none better than the winter itself.

God bless you, basic white girls.

The Boots

Warm, comfortable, and better than tying your shoes, boots are an essential of the basic white girl outfit. That being said, why UGGs? My Lord and Savior, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady is sponsored by men's UGGs, I would never be seen in public with a pair of these. Sure they're comfy, sure they're fashionable, but when my Korean mother wants a pair of UGGs, you know that's an issue.

And just for sh*ts and gigs:

The Coffee

Pumpkin Spice season has come and gone, but Egg Nog lattes have rolled in strong as ever. There's nothing quite like a morning pick-me-up in a matte black or shiny gold cup with the Starbucks mermaid on it that go for like $85, right? Right.

Huge shout out to Dina Cefalu, Leah Lafreniere, Hannah Lemek, and Hailey Hastings for modeling their basic white girlness for this article's pictures!

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.
