It was one of those post-winter Skate Sessions when the weather was warm enough to shed the puffy jacket. My friend Keith, a photographer under my tutelage, asked me to take him to the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria, NY. Hesitantly, I took him.
The museum itself houses a huge collection of film/TV/Animation history. The collection prosthetics alone could make any museum goer realize the $12 was worth it. Wanna see Mrs. Doubtfire's face? Come to the 2nd floor at the MoMi. It's just there waiting for you to put in on...(not really). Not in to movies that much? Well, video games are considered moving image. Have fun playing the collection of classic arcade games for a small fee of twenty-five cents.
So, Keith and I walk up to this portion of the museum where we get to play around with various filmmaking techniques. They were closing soon, but before we got kicked out, Keith and I made stop motion shorts with the animation rigs that were set up. Thus, this video was born.
