Steph Curry-Aaron Rodgers
Nobody in their respective leagues is as accurate from deep as these two. Whether it was Curry against OKC or Rodgers against the Lions, they are always seconds away from connecting on a bomb. These two-time MVPs are arguably the best at their positions and almost unstoppable on offense. Few players in all of sports are as exciting as these two when they are on.
Kyrie Irving-Eli Manning
Their legacy will forever be tied to them coming through in the clutch. Both were part of teams given no chance and they each outplayed their league MVP counterparts. Kyrie’s three and Eli’s helmet catch to David Tyree are both plays that will go down as key members for two of the biggest underdogs in sports history.
Russell Westbrook-Cam Newton
You either love him or you hate him with every fiber in you. They are going to dominate you and let you know about it as it happens. They are each the most physically imposing player at their position with the speed, size, and strength to overwhelm their opponents. They are also by far the most flamboyant dressers in each of their leagues with clothing no other athlete would wear. Add that in with their soundbites, and they are must-watch both on and off the field.
Chris Paul-Tom Brady
Both could never pick up a ball again and likely make the discussion for top-five all-time at their position. Likely the two smartest players in the league, they dissect defenses at will and always put their teammates in position to score. The only problem is they act like petulant children when things do not go their way. Yes, they are passionate players and have a burning desire to win but they have also crossed the line on multiple occasions. Both have let their emotions get the best of them and launched assaults on opponents’ groin areas. While they are two of the greatest to ever play sports, many will not miss them when they are retired.
John Wall-Matt Ryan
Both of these individuals are putting up monster numbers this year but are flying under the radar. Ryan will likely win MVP but if his stats and team record were tied to Brady, Rodgers or Russell Wilson he would have it in the bag. John Wall is averaging career highs in multiple categories but fans are indifferent to this. In a league with Westbrook, Curry, Kyrie, and James Harden, fans do not really care for what Wall is achieving.
