There is a wide variety of things you may experience and/or feel when you catch feelings. Just know that any of these or some I may not list is completely normal. No case is typical, therefore everyone will have different symptoms, but what makes it easier is to recognize them, and know that it is okay to have them. The listed symptoms are not meant to scare you or get your hopes up, but I just want to emphasize that everyone experiences things differently. This article is written with the intention to let you know that any of your feelings are valid.

1. Fatigue

2. Confusion

3. Uplifted Spirits

4. Energy

5. Irritability

6. Insomnia

7. Increased or Decreased Appetite

8. Nervousness

9. Calmness

This is so important when you are going through a rough patch. When you find someone who alleviates your anxiety, it helps you get through everything else!

10. Inspiration

11. Feeling Trapped

12. Feeling Free

13. Hopefulness

14. Bravery

15. Shyness

16. Fearfulness

17. Fearlessness

18. Slightly weakened immune system

Your mental health can affect your physical health. If catching feelings affects you negatively, you may be more susceptible to small colds or any other viruses. Don't panic! If you have negative symptoms, make sure you stay healthy physically. Drink plenty of water, exercise, go outside. It will ward off the stress.

19. Unusual dreams

20. Feeling Unorganized

21. Slight Anxiety

22. Increased Confidence

23. Decreased Confidence

24. Jitteriness

25. Restlessness

26. Squirminess

27. Adrenaline

Well, that could save you a trip to the gym!

Now, before you do anything else, I want you to walk away with a few helpful tips for managing your symptoms:

1. Journal

This will help monitor your symptoms, and keep track of what worked and didn't work for you!

2. Write a poem

This was actually the first poem I've ever written! But taking the time to mindfully to express your feelings with some creative vocabulary goes a long way. My journal is filled with poems. It's a fun way to tell your story with that person, and when you first started noticing your symptoms!

3. Go on a really long walk or drive

This is considered a walking meditation (Are car meditations a thing? If not, then that's gonna be my million dollar idea!) Personally, I like using labyrinths for organizing my thoughts. But if you want to go on a regular walk, that's perfectly fine too!

4. Dance it out

Either jam out to a song that reminds you of them, OR get creative and choreograph a lyrical piece that entails your feelings towards them! I will tell you right now, you will get emotionally attached to it...

5. Crack open a cold one with the boys!

I'm so sorry about this one if you've been emotionally invested in the Drake and Josh wedding drama like I have! (I'm team Drake!) Sometimes a nice drink with your friends can help!

6. Watch an empowering movie

My go-to is Moana!! Moana is the coolest Disney princess ever! She sailed across the ocean to save her dying island, that's bad-ass! She makes me feel like I can do anything!

7. Reach out to a trusted friend

Talking to your best friend always helps!

But honestly, do whatever you need to do to manage your symptoms!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
